Last week of university already..

Finally, come monday, will be the last week of the semester already. Time really flies when you are busy man. Ok, continue the topic from the last post. Yeah, came back from the casino at around 5am. Lucky that my cheque from mummy didn't clear yet, so no chance to play at the tables! My friend, the bathroom singer, won abit though. $30 actually. 赌神 leh!! My other friend, spring princess, was not very lucky, she lost $22. Haha, people go casino to become 赌神, she go to casino become 赌懒 !! Hahaha...

Anyway, I added some pictures of my car. Nothing fancy lah, and with its pathetic speed, I believe I can run faster! Mine is the dark red or "lao sai" red Toyota Paseo. Ever wondered how you pronouce "Paseo"? Its pronouced as "Per-Say-Oh" instead of the typical singaporen pronounciation of "Par-Seo". Anyway, Paseo is actually a proper english word which has the meaning, a slow walk in the park. That explains its pathetic speed! Oh, The car beside it belongs to my housemate, the chilli pounder.

Honestly, I prefer the ass of my car to the front. It looks so much nicer from the rear! The front looks pathetic. The last picture shows my car in the night time. It was taken at the bathroom singer's house. Heehee... Ok, enough bragging about my car.

Just yesterday, I asked my friend to read my blog. In the end, she told me that she prefered Rockson's blog!! So sad, ask people to read my blog, in the end, people prefer someone else's blog from my links! Well, I guess singlish does sell. Maybe I should start writing in singlish so more people can find my blog entertaining. Steady, lim peh going to convert to writing in singlish also. Arh bo nobody come and see my blog. I think I buay sai la, very terok to kay siao and write in singlish. Feel like kenna tekan like that. Haha!

Sibei sian man, actually wanted to go to this gay pride parade at northbridge just now one, but then, no one wanted to go. So LL go my friend house and watch Lord of the Ling on TV. Watch liao come home and zho bo lan. Now drinking tea, and blogging at the same time. Most prob. going to go to bed soon. Don't know how come yesterday slept for 12 hours liao, still so tired. I think I am becoming god soon, the god of sleeping, koon sin...ZzzZzz...

Time to relax

Why does everyone who read my blog say that I talk too much about my work? Ok, no more talking about work already today! Time for me to relax abit, unwind a little bit. Once again, another boring friday night. Feel like going out to have fun, but don't know where to go, and no one to go with.

I just added this cool javascript which I ripped from some website. Only IE users can see it because apparently, Firefox has some errors with the Javascript. Dammit! So, since I CANNOT write about work, I will write about PLAY. Now lets see, what do I play with? I play with heaps of stuff man. Computers, cars, some computer games, friendster, girls, myself... Haha! Just kidding about the last two.

So, lets go one by one, computers first, will leave the rest for the next post. Well, can't really play much of computers now, because I am using the lame arse Acer laptop. Its has a 1.3 GHz PentiumM processor, which apparently Intel claims it can perform as well as a 2.4 GHz Pentium4 processor, but I think it can't. Basically my laptop runs on Windows XP Pro and also dual booted with Mandriva Linux 10.3 (Hehe, I love that cute lil penguin) Below is a picture of my lappy when I first bought it 2 years ago.

Looks pretty sweet eh? But trust me, after 2 years of typing, even the alphabets on the keyboard have faded away, and only me, yes only me can type without even having to find the right keys. So, besides a laptop, what else do I have? Well, I used to have a desktop PC back in Singapore, but when I came to Perth to further my studies, I sold the mainboard and my LCD monitor away. I kept my desktop casing though, because I spend quite alot on it. Well, I did modify the casing a lil' bit. Got this guy to do it for me. Below is another interesting picture taken when I send my precious $300 casing to the "garage".

Yeah, I was so desperate to use the computer, I used it without its casing!! Lucky never short circuited the whole mainboard. Well, I have to go already, so I can't write anymore. Maybe heading off to the casino with my mates. Hope I can stay off the tables and control myself not to gamble! Below is another picture of my computer when it came back from the "garage". Sweet eh? Oh yeah, thats that layout of my room back in Singapore. =)

I think I am a god...

I can't believe it man! I haven't slept in 30 hours.. I don't know what to write here, and there might be some typo errors because I am totally exhausted now. Prob. I should just head off to bed, but I don't feel like sleeping. Ok, I shall watch 1 episode of las vegas, then head off to bed.

Anyway, I spent the whole of last night and this afternoon finishing up my thesis. Finally finished it and printed a copy (fricking 97 pages) for my project supervisor to have a preview of it. Once again, stupid micro$oft word, gave me so many headaches again. This time round, the table of figures got screwed up!! I hope that I won't have to make any changes to my thesis, coz I am sick of writing already.

Anyway, I want to upload some pictures, but my connection is really slow right now.. downloading some stuff. So I shall leave them for next time.

Hmm..lets see if I have anything else to update.. oh yeah, I realised that going shopping at coles without enough sleep is really fun! You have that floating kinda feeling, and as u walk up and down the supermarket, you have this feeling like everything else around is frozen in time! I think I shall do that more often.

Damm Hot !!!

... not me, I'm not hot, I meant my room. Its getting stuffy in here.

Wow..yesterday, or today rather, I worked my arse off till 1pm and then fell asleep, totally exhausted, on my bed and woke up at 6pm! Just in time for dinner which was yesterday's left over of the lasange that I made. It tastes funny after keeping it overnight, but heck, I was hungry and i was lazy to cook.. so yeah..

Still working on my thesis. dammit, micro$oft word is driving me nuts with the format and alingment of my thesis. everything seems to get out of control when I make minor changes here or there. "whats up, billy gates???" I still have no idea how to write the conlusions and the last part of my simulation results. I guess I'll just make up come crap story.

Yeah, I just added a few links on the right. Links to some webpages and blogs of my mates. Everyone, yes, every singaporean should check out rockson's blog.. Its fricking interesting! Aussies, beware however, you might not understand the language. Yeah, its in singlish, mixed with hokkien and cantonese and mandarin. Like rojak! The most memorable quote i remembered from his blog was " 我没做老大已经很久了". Hahaha! The link is on the right, titled "The Bengster".

Anyway, I need to learn how to upload photos. Whats a blog without photos? So here goes.. This photo is one of my dream cars.. Its actually a concept car called the Toyota Volta. It has 500 bHp on a stock, inline 10 cylinder, N.A. engine. Cool eh? Well, with today's technology, any concept can be a reality. But well.. its prob. gonna cost more then a million dollars. So.. unless I win the lotto, i can only drive it in my dreams..

Increased workload..

Just finished one assignment. Its about Grids. Hope I can score at least a 90 or 100% =) After all, its very much really my "last" assignment already. Still got to work on my thesis, even though its nothing really very impressive and I don't expect high marks for it. Oh yeah, almost forgot about the design report for the motor speed controller. I will work on that once i finish my thesis writing. Still contemplating if I should include those meaningful quotes from famous people at the start of each chapter... Hahaha!

Anyway, I shouldn't be talking about my work here (again). Nothing much to update on my life. My life is a boring one. Everyday do work until like 6 or 7am before going to bed (yes, i am nocturnal) then wake up late, and eat late lunch + early dinner (getting fatter) and then if I have the time, I will watch one or two episodes of the TV shows i DL'ed, and then do work again till 6 or 7am. This cycle has been continuing for the past few weeks man.. I think my biological clock has been totally screwed up.

Well, if anyone is curious about why the title of my blog is "thePokerking", honestly, its because I can't think of anything else. I have tried many names, but seems like they were all taken. So, I was thinking, since I like to play poker, might as well just give myself that title. I am still an amature at poker, but hey, everyone has to learn and start somewhere right? I really wish one day, I can take part in a world series of poker (WSOP) tournment! Let that be a dream of mine and when I have the time and the $$$ (It's a US$20k buy-in) then talk about it. Right now my main goal is to graduate, with 2nd class honours hopefully!!

Well, can't write much, my good friend named thesis is waiting for me. I promise that I will update often. =)

Virgin post !!

My first post!! First time ever writing a blog. Gosh, I don't know what to write. Exams are coming soon, I really shouldn't be starting to do this...Hmmm....

Well, today's basically fine. Just another boring day at uni. I was in the lab from 1pm till 5pm. I managed to get the PWM working on the Virtex4 developer's board. The DC motor also works fine, and we managed to control its speed using the PWM I created. Luckily, Mr. Speedy Gonzales was happy about our progress. =) Tsk tsk... I shouldn't be talking about work here...

Oh well, got to go continue writing my thesis and finish up my other assignments. 2 more week before exam time!
